I am trying to get a solid assessment for my site (www.pawdesign.net). I have no sensitivity when it comes to criticism so please be brutal.
Thanks :)

I'm not too impressed.... the promo video was off the hook, but then I look around the site and it doesn't live up to what it claims to be...

A lot of the site is out of order, of crunched together... theres a lot of underlines and bolding going on which makes it hard to decipher the order in which you want us to view the site.

A good design kind of walks the visitor through the site, making sure they view one thing at a time, not a billion! :)

It's like a supermarket. They're designed to walk customers through the store in order to get what they want. That way if they only came in for one thing, they're forced to walk by a ton of good deals and other items along the way,and will more than likely buy more than they came for.

The site created for the teen whatever I wasn't too impressed with either. I think you're focusing too much on adding in a whole heap load of graphics, and not thinking about the effects it could have on the design or on a slow net connection.

well, the website is okay. But if you are doing a graphic website. Please omit the cheap photoshop images. That paw. Those glowing edges are also cheap too.

The website needs to be work around so that it's a well balance website. Your website looks like someone just slap on some codes and let it run. you should consider removing the onMouse enlargement. that distorts the image. Regarding the fact that you also Offer webdesign on your website, you should know that that technique isn't very pleasant. rather try the swap image technique.

try looking at many many similar websites to yours and compare, heck even try to steal their ideals. Look at this website. See how its prettty well balance. Colors matchs, tables looks nice, images are high quiality. Nothing here is just a slap on code.

It takes time to make a nice looking website. use photoshop and keep editing the images to make it fit your website, no matter how long it may takes! Look at their colors, their size and everything well balance.

over all website layout: 5/10
Overall content: 4/10

I'm going to say it straight out. I don't want to do business with you because your images don't conivnce me. You have to show more of your work. that old guy just aint buying it.

You website says a lot about you. Please look around the website for a layout that you like and get ideas from it.

hope this help

I have to agree with bsxiong about the paw graphic.....but I don't think it's a bad site. The one thing that surprised me was, you don't have any kind of portfolio posted with samples of your web design work. I would want to see that, even just a few samples or URLs of your work. Maybe add that and work on the layout a little? It was a little overwhelming but not a bad site in my opinion.
