I got a ticket the other night for 75 in a 65, but I was
only going around 68 tops.

The problem is there was another car hauling butt past me
in the far right lane when we passed where the cop was
running radar.

I've been told that these radar guns (not the laser ones)
read a wide path and picks up whatever is going the fastest.
I'm sure the cop pulled over the wrong person. I'm going
to plead not guilty & tell them I want a trial by jury.

I need to know the name of the nationwide organization that
shares evidence with it's members about the inacuracys
involved in using the old radar gun technology.

If anyone could pass on any info, I'd appreciate it

I have a solution.... don't speed :D:D

you will have to prove that the other car was speeding if you go to court using a jury.with only you and the cop it will be hard to tell the jury the cop was wrong. find that guy and bring him to court with you and tell him to tell the jury he was speeding and not you.

what? find that really hard to do, well that is what the jury will want to know.

since traffic enforcement varies greatly from state to state, it is not really possible to help you with your "problem" without knowing the state, and even then, county to county can vary dramatically. I could not find a radar gun clearinghouse website you believe exists (it might) but I found this stuff....

I believe that they work by shooting in a straight line and pick up everything that goes past it. I am pretty sure that you have the right to ask the officer to see the gun if you are in doubt. They have to have a reason to pull you over.

That is my two cents.
