I don't know exactly if this is the right place to post this... but it seemed so. I am running (or trying to run) an Apache webserver on Gentoo... but for some strange reason it has decided that it will only work through http://localhost:8666 or http://127.0.0.1:8666 (essentially the same thing) but will not work if I type in my ip http://207.216.24.98:8666. I previsouly had it running on Sabayon (pretty much gentoo) and it was working fine, up untill just before I switched over to Gentoo, it stopped working, and went to it's current state. I hadn't touched any configs, the router, anything... I can't figure out whats going on.. so any help would be very much appreciated. (even if that is pointing me to where I should acutally post this).

Ermm... wait...actually... it may be working again for some reason... if someone could try going to http://207.216.24.98:8666 and post whether or not its working, that would be a big help :)

Works for me. Your problem was probably caused by your router. Also, keep in mind you can not go to your own IP address within your network if you are trying to test that port forwarding is working, you need to do it on a outside connection. A tunnel works pretty good:
