EXAMPLE:
I have a page that has 10 links that goes to other websites.

I would like to beable to count the number of times each individual link has been clicked.

It would be very exceptable to have the count for any link placed on the link page next to the link clicked if that could be done. Naturally, the link page would have to be saved inorder for this to work, as the link page closes when the new site is opened.

The next time that I open the link page, I would see the # of clicks for each link.

I have contacted Andale and they do not have a counter that can count clicks on links.

Another idea. When my website is opened, I have frames. The left side frame is a menu and stays open even when I open another site. Maybe the count could be transferred to that page. I do not have to see the count at this point. Naturally again, the page would have to be saved. I would down load the menu page and open it to see the counts.

Well, I'm not that smart. Do we have someone out there with a workable solution?

Please Help

Thanks

It can't be done with straight HTML/XHTML. At best, it can be done with javascript. I'll just pop this thread over to the appropriate forum for you.

I have a workable solution, extremely simplistic, but it involves PHP, not javascript. Have you support for this?

I think I have support for PHP, but I have to call the hosting company Monday. After I hear back from them, I will post the true answer.

Thanks

You replied to my need for help on counting links. I talked to my host and their system DOES support PHP.

You can refer to: http://www.htmlforums.com/html-xhtml/t-heavy-duty-question-86907.html

to get to original question.
