Is there any good websites that i can pay for silent hill 2 Pc game and download it? This question was maybee not put the right way the first time and ended up closed?

If you can help with information on game LEGAL game downloads, please do?

Otherwise, someone said he knows where i could buy one. But before i could get back to him my thread was closed - Thank you for that:rolleyes:

not many games are released in that way (in fact, I think it is only games released by or through valve that are right now), so I doubt you will be able to get Silent Hill 2 on legal download...

I was on Ctrl-Alt-Del this morning at school, and saw an ad (no ad block or firefox at school :() for something called Direct2Drive. Might be an idea to check that out or Google it?

Yeah i've seen ads for Direct2Drive in mags. You can download games legally at places like http://www.liberatedgames.com so you could try that.

There's also a subscription service I see advertised quite a bit called GameTap. Not sure if they game you're looking for is there, but they boast a fairly large catalogue.

Thanks for the real help in this Forum!! Amazing how some people can Help and some Mods can only close threads?

Maybee the Mods should back off a bit and wait to see where a thread is going to before closing it left and right...

I will check the sites out thanks to all... And Mods, maybee you want to check the sites out with me so you can rather Help the members and not indirectly ask them to find other forums to talk in???

Dude, with your initial post phrased as Any one know of a good website to download Pc games? Example Silent Hill 2 ?what do you expect? You didn't mention any payments or anything. Had you mentioned anything I'm sure your post would have been kept...

he's just sore I closed the origional thread because of the poor phrasing he used. From the replys in the origional thread, I was not the first or only person who assumed he was looking for illegal downloads, so I did what I would have done with any other similar thread. oh well.

he'll either keep complaining about it, or get over it...neither of which would bother me.

Just thought I'd clarify on RobRoyRoger's post that GameTap is actually a service with a catalogue of most retro games. Any games past their prime, and with licences that were available, so that other people can now play them online. But SilentHill, being the PC game that it is, wouldn't be available. I think the game is still somewhat popular, and would be simply too much for a website to handle. It looks like a good service, though. :)

I would think that the games are better bought in stores--that way you know that your copy is absolutely legit, and not some hacked version pumped full of viruses you downloaded off the net. I'm not saying the companies aren't reputable, but I've heard stories.

Oh, and you might want to cool off with your comments on the mods. They keep the place clean, and while we all have our issues, some are better kept in private messages or to ourselves. I should know. ;)

If you dislike it so much, then why do you continue to post in this thread? In fact, you hadn't even joined the thread until the topic had converted to mods being victimized.
