Um, how exactly is it that I create a loading bar for my Flash movie, and where do i put it?

Hey Dr. Web, why don't we just put a sticky at the top of this forum saying, if you have a flash problem, the best tutorial and all other flash stuff site is flashkit.com and visit there for most of your problems? I think that would be good :P !

well, there are good tutorials all over the place. I sometimes find flashkit cumbersome.

I'd suggest www.designsbymark.com for a simple preloader and instructions on how, where, and why.
