My Frustrating Question

What if I posted a screenshot from IGN.com on my site and gave credit to them. Would that still be legal!!!???

I suppose that it would depend on what the screenshot was of.

I'd assume that if you gave the URL that you took the screenshot from, that should be legal. But like I said, it could depend on what it is of.

nothing adult like, just screen shots of games. I was thinking of taking it from ign, but legal issues are what i'm wondering right now.

Consider this from their affiliate agreement:

Q. May I use the IGN logo or content on my site?

I would just send them an email and let them know what you want to do.

In the world of law and legality nothing is ever straight-forward.
