i need to put up a banner ad on a site.can anyone tell me what all info i should ask before putting up my ad on thier site.i have just asked for number hits,unique visitors etc. is there any criteria or info i should have before finalzing.beside's his webalizer report showed 7000 hits per day.does that mean 7000 people visting the site or some other thing.plz explain

Actually that means 7000 impressions which you will be paying for. Are you paying CPC or CPM. Also with this many impressions he propably has around 2,000 unique hits (actual hits, not page reloads). Just out of curiosity how much will you be paying?

iam paying $ 200 for a banner ad on their home page for 3 months.Its a instrumentation vortal,highly specialized on my area.they have nothing refering to any cpm or cpc.should i go for it.

What webalizer report would this be? from the site logs?
There is a big differents between hits, visitors or requests;
Requests would be every bit of info that is sent, including files , images enz.
what is the site that will place your banner? Mayby someone here know more about the site.
If you are new then you need a second opinion on this. 200 seems like a lot if you are not 100%sure of the exact unique visitors.
If you let us know the site url we can look deeper in to it.

louisa i just went thru u r site,quite informative,is webstats good or is there any other online better than that,check out counter.hitlink.com,very good but charges $20 per month,but there is the 30-day trial check it out,if you know any online stats site simialr to hitslink but free could you post it for me

I recived a bad gateway error on the link you posted.
As for the web stats. I use two different ones both are free and privite.You must log in to see stats.They both are very good and with the two I have info on about everything I need to know.Check them out.
Why pay when you can get something for free?

yup thats right i did'nt notice the plz,besides it is instrumentonline.com and www.siva-associates.com .
regarding stats it is counter.hitslink.com sorry for the mistakes guys and sorry for wasteing your time.
