Javascript banner rotator/Netscape

I downloaded a very useful script for rotating banners and links from A1 Javascripts.

I inserted animated images to be rotated, and it works perfectly in MSIE, but the timing is off for the animated images in netscape (I looked at it in a couple different versions of netscape).

Is it common for Javascript programs not to work quite right in Netscape? Any ideas on how I might solve this problem?
