I have a page which is wide, too wide to fit when printed portrait even though the text style is xx-small.

Is there a way to print from javascript while telling the browser / printer to print landscape?

Im not 100% sure about this but I would be inclined to say that you cannot control whether a clients machine prints in landscape / portrait or not. Most javascripts that i have seen pops up your printer dialog box in which case the user can then choose to print landscape / portrait ... among other things.

I hope someone has a definite answer to this as some of my web applications for the company i work for could use this feature.

Another question i have had regarding printing and javascript is clicking a button in one frame yet trying to print the contents of another frame...can this be done? I have searched long and hard for this one and have tried many things but it always prints the frame that has focus (where button was clicked)...i have tried sending focus to the other frame but to no luck.
