I like the first one better. New one looks fuzzier or something, me no like. The first one is good though, I browsed and such and checked the article on teleportation. Silly earthlings still can't grasp the concept of quantum physics lol.

For me, definitely the older version. It's MUCH cleaner and more inviting. I'd get rid of the bottom scroll though.

i know what everyone means, but i still like the new design.


i think however you are too heavy handed mith the blurs / drop shadows, it makes it look like its been sketched with a 6B pencil - keep them smaller / subtler / harder edged (i rarely go above 20% opacity) and it will look a whole lot better.

also might be nice if you 'cut' the logo into the bar at the top instead; softly.

and the second bar (the narrow 1) doesnt make any sense, it needs to tie in with the larger1 more, otherwise its out of place.

+ those little green arrows aren't placed quite right, and i think the tone of the green doesnt fit with that red.


however, i know where u r coming from and i like it, just needs some polish thats all. :)

definately the older one. The new one looks like a take on a template kind of look, while the original really grabs the 'windows' theme quite nicely.

I'd consider using the old version, with some minor cosmetic changes. The new version just does't hold onto 'windows' as well.

the only reason i am changing it all is because the old one is complex and a pain in my @$$ to up keep (because of the way i did it) hmmmmm..... i may redo the old one with my new found knowledge of php and repost the link in a day or two....

hmmmm i was expecting a little more enthusiasm :( as it took me the better part of saturday to get that all done, but, im open to criticism and im glad i didnt decide to use that one :D, what do you suggest i do to optimize the old version? (besides gettin rid of those scroll bars in 800x600)

The new one isn't bad... it's just that compared to the other one it is harder on the eyes. It is much easier to read text on lighter pages with darker fonts than darker pages with lighter fonts.
