Need some feedback and suggestions. Up to now I have been the techie on the back end wiring everything up, not the designer. What is presented here is a basic design to build on.

eh clean and simple but a little to simple. maybe some color. and put some space between the left and right columns

The lines under "Welcome" and "Online Affiliate..." don't match up. Fix that somehow. Which is weird, 'cuz usually tables line up right.

Add some color. Something to get my attention.

I'm getting some resolution problems with your images... make sure that the size of the book gifs are the same size as the dimensions set in your <img> tags. That should make the res problems disappear.
