just finished with a site for a construction company. thanks for the ppl on here that helped me with the problems i had. especially aero & kravitz.

all im waiting for is the content for the individual pages.
the page is fluid so it should look good on all screen resolutions.
even the portfolio section, the images will stretch to fit your browser window.
all the pages validate.

let me know what you all think.

Hi,

There is an ENTER and a menu at the bottom of the page. They stay as usual text and I did not understand that these are links at first. The same in Portfolio page - links like text.
It is strange to have the main navigation at the bottom of the page, I think.
The design idea is good but the links stay "hidden". May I suggest to make the links more "obvious".
Some pages looks unfinished, but I suppose the site is still under development.

The front page looked nice.

On the second page (http://coastal.awardspace.com/home.shtml) I would suggest putting contact information right under the pictures. You need that to be easily accessable--and it doesn't hurt to have it more than one place.

You do have a "Contact" link down at the bottom, but it might be overlooked. When I click on it it just says "contact us" but thee is no actual contact information. I'm assuming this is something you will be adding?

Site looks fine to me. Few things I will suggest.

1. Lose the splash page, those enter pages are just a waste of time for the user because its one extra step he/she has to take. It serves no purpose really.
2. Get rid of the scrolling marquee. Anything scrolling on a site to me seems tacky.
3. After you get rid of the marquee, move the navigation to the top.

Precisely what I was going to say Aero.

1) Remove the splash page
2) Remove the marquee
3) Bring the menu to the top.

But also I would like to see more colour in the page, monochromatic is good only if you have the contrast. However you don't.

i agree.. bring the menu to the top because people are use to seeing it there.. i think flash is okay but not really need to go all out

thanks for the words guys. im not sure why its not displaying properly for some of you. it looks fine for me and the client. also like i said in the first post all the text and content is not in yet. also the address it is at now isnt the final one, its just what im using to let the client preview before we switch it to their existing address.

as for the splash page. its what they asked for. so it stays.

and they want the marquee and the menu at the bottom but i will talk to them again about it soon.

how does the portfolio section work out for everyone? im interested in seeing how the javascript aero supplied me with works out on different browsers/resolutions.

thanks

Works alright over here, but you better give at least 5% to Aero now.
