Hi all,
I apologise now if I am out of order with this question or in the wrong place. I do not want to make a big fuss or upset anybody, but this does mean alot to me.
On my home page I used a guestbook from

www.guestbookpage.com

along with many of my friends. Although I only had 20 odd messages they were meaningful to my past. But now for many days we cannot access our accounts, and the site does not seem to be available anymore.

Is it possible to find out if something has happened to the site?

Their server could be down at this current time OR the must have run out of business.

Yep, they may be experiencing problems but it is highly possible that they have gone out of business, and you will have lost anything you had hosted with them.

Unfortunately that is one of the risks of using remotely hosted services. :(

Was your guestbook ad-supported? If not, this might be the reason they went off business. Do not signup with companys that say they give unlimited things and/or no ads!!!

on a different note.....the page might still be in your internet cache, use "find" or search through your temp internet files to see if there is a local copy on your machine you can use to resurrect your guestbook entries.

Regards,
Kevin

Excellent point, Kevin, as usual.

If it's no longer there, try www.google.com, as they cache a staggering amount of the internet. They've saved many an entire website with their foolish practices! :)

Good luck!
