This is my first post here, so if I'm 'out-of-line' with what I'm asking - SORRY - no ill-intent meant.
I have a tab button (that I want to edit .... color and text) to use in a nav bar via dreamweaver 8 (which I have). The problem is the 'button' is a .psd image and I do not have Photoshop (only PSP 7). Can it be done?
I'm not locked into that tab - it's just the only one i could find. Not adverse of creating a new tab in PSP ... just don't know how.
(Also do not have Fireworks, etc if that was going to be suggested.)

If it is a .psd image you must edit it in Photoshop or a program that can work with .psd's eg. try the trial of Real Draw Pro (http://www.mediachance.com/realdraw/index.html)
Hope this helps :)

Yes you can edit a psd file in Paint Shop 7, Web911dev!
Go to File, scroll down to Preferences, bring up File Format Assoications, make sure that .psd is checked.
You now can import a .psd graphic, you can leave it in that file format and edit the graphic save it as a .psd, or change it to a tube or a .psp format, edit the graphic and change it back to a psd.
Hope this helps.....

PSP7 = Paintshop Pro 7
PS = Photoshop
There is a subtle difference, web911dev doesn't have PS, he only has PSP ;)

I know the difference between Photoshop and Jasc Paint Shop Pro's, ;) I also know and read where Web911dev said he doesn't own a copy of Photoshop or Fireworks, which I don't own Photoshop or Fireworks myself. However I do own four versions of PSP's software and you can edit a .psd graphic in Paint Shop Pro, especially PSP version 7 and later versions which will edit a .psd, because I have edited a .psd graphic a few times myself, can't speak for earlier editions of Jasc Paint Shops. By the way, PSP users also can use Photoshop Plugins. :)

No reason to be sorry, I work with this software every single day sometimes for hours, for a very long time, and I am still learning what the capabilities are of PSP. Beginning to think it's a never ending learning, but then graphics are my passion! :lol:
