I want to start up my own website business but...

I want to start up a website designing business but i ran ran into problems. firstly, Does anyone know any hosts that (legally) allow you to set up websites and sell them? or have you got to host them yourself...and how do you do this?
Secondly, I want to charge my clients a flat rate eg £150, but the domain names i have seen are only for a year or two.
Please give me giudence onn how to statr up a website designing business.

Setting up a web design company can be laborious and complicated (I know I tried it myself). As such here are a few bits of information you will need to know. It is not essential to offer hosting on your own servers as alot of hosting companies allow what are called reseller programmes as suce you buy there package (a site) with the express perpose of selling it on to a client. Often good deals can be found with such packages so it is worth shopping around.

Onto the bane of all web development: The Domain Name. Top level domain names such as .com .net and .org are run by registrar companies in the US such as Register.com. These lease out the service of a domain name for a pre-stated period of time (Usually aprox. 2 years.) it should be noted that Domain Names are treated as a service (in legal terms) so do not be fooled into thinking you own a domain name, be sure to read the small print. As such it is impossible to obtain a domain name for an indefinate perod of time. Payments must be made every so often. As such you will be unable to offer a completly one call service.
