I am trying to clean up the code on this website and make the CSS layout look right in the most common browsers.

Could some of you take a look and see how your browser shows it? I am attaching a screen shot of what it'ss supposed to look like.

Thanks,
Melody

Looks about right, I reckon. I'm using FF 1.5 and IE6.

Might I suggest you center the page?

yeah, firefox 1.5.2 is good, but alt said that already :s

opera 8.52 is good too

I would definitely prefer it centered too. I didn't design the site but was asked to try to get it to look better in all browsers. But I am sure they would be happy for me to to center it.

The background image is a 1600 px by 2 px image that includes the left lighter blue column, the white center and the right darker blue column!! So I guess I would have to do away with the background image and try to do the same thing with tables or CSS.

On my screen it is all to the left with a wide expanse of nothing on the right. Internet Explorer. 19" screen (which I hate but it came with the package).

Thanks to all of you that took the time to reply. This was the first time trying to make a layout work with only CSS. Someone else did the code in a web editor using the CSS but the software threw in some messy code. So I was trying to leave the CSS rather than go back to tables - but I may mess around with it and try to get it centered when I have the time.

Thanks again,
Melody

Me again.... I got this screen shot back from Browsershots.com it is from Firefox 1.5.0 on a Linux system. It looks like some of the text is larger causing it to overlap and wrap to extra lines. The fonts are set to exact px sizes.

Anyone elses doing this?
