This site is going to have indian information, about mumbai restaurants and such
Dont tell it to us, tell it to the viewers.
Page allmost validates and is clean and good choise of colours.
Flash is not needed imho, you can replace it with image.

Clean and simple design. Very nice. Why flash for a still image? Curios to see how the rest of the site looks. And, yes, some information on what exactly it is would be useful.

I loved it. Keep it the way it is. Flash is installed in over 95% of users, and probably close to 100% of the users who will be visiting this site.
I think it's sharp looking, readable, and "sizzly." Don't change a thing.

acslater - flash is installed in over 95% of browsers. do you have some evidence to back this up. its quite a statistic! cheers mate

i agree, leave the flash
the flash is a great touch, and if someone wants to see it bad enough, they'll download the plugin..
it's not always about what the visitors want, gotta put in what you like as well. :)

I've seen the statistic in a number of places, including the lastest issue of Practical Web Design, but this is the first link that comes up on Google..

A misleading statistic. Just because 95% of web browsers come with flash pre-installed doesn't necessarily mean 100% of the users keep it turned on or even prefer it. How many of those users would choose to install flash if it wasn't already built in? Besides, which web browser(s) are they referring to?
Nothing against flash... i think flash sites look great as long as the animation is not overdone and the load time is good. The following is taken from w3schools.com...
Statistics Are Often Misleading
You cannot - as a web developer - rely only on statistics. Statistics can often be misleading.
Global averages may not always be relevant to your web site. Different sites attract different audiences. Some web sites attract professional developers using professional hardware, other sites attract hobbyists using older low spec computers.
Also be aware that many stats may have an incomplete or faulty browser detection. It is quite common by many web stats report programs, not to detect new browsers like Opera and Netscape 6 or 7 from the web log.

Very impressive looking site, I'm torn on the flash, it looks good and appears to load quickly, but also agree with John84.
Leave it as is for now though.

Very nice looking site, clean and uncluttered, but I personally think plain images would've worked instead of flash.
Statistics Are Often Misleading
EXACTLY! Did you know that 95% of statistics are made up? :P

the site looks ok and works ok and the content is dire and irrelevant to anyone who isn't resident in India. some of the people who have had the courtesy to look at your Blog are unsure where they are and as you can see are appreciative of your efforts. yours is a professionally constructed commercial site that is not going to change in design or content because of any comment listed here.
yours is an invitation to view your site and this is a thread used by serious people who have a sincere desire/need for objective input. why do you require our email addresses?

I love the design , great colors very refreshing. I like the flash , it adds a nice touch. Althought a little paragraph about what your site is about would be helpfull. Well good luck.

For anyone who doesn't know, if javascript is disabled then a plain normal image is shown at least on the site in question.
