Ok firstly I'm sorry if there is already a thread on this but i hav'nt been able to find a solution.

I've got IIS 5.1 installed and set up to allow anonymous access, i am able to access my site but when i give other people the address to try it they get "the page cannot be displayed":( , was wondering if anyone knew how to solve this problem.

Any help appreciated :)

if you are trying to get them to access a webserver at your home, then you're going to hit problems like this...

you'd be better off getting a free host and domain and sharing that out instead.

I have thought about using free hosting but I would like to learn how to set up a webserver myself and learn asp.net and the best place to start is at home, I'd like for other people to be able to access it to tell me what they think.

yeah - but your ISP won't - you will find a clause in your ISP contract saying you will not place a server on their connection...
