Have any of you ever used www.namezero.com (http://www.namezero.com) ?
I signed up for a "free domain name", and I got the free domain as they said. However it seems to only work as a portal site.
Take a look: www.isaccofedele.com (http://www.isaccofedele.com)
Does anyone know how to link/redirect it to another page?
What do you think of the service?
Can you think of any way to use this?
Regards,

hi isaac,
as i am sure you saw from the recent discussion about namezero at http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/Forum2/HTML/000024.html , the whole thing is really confusing.
We finally concluded that it was just a redirect service, since they don't host web space. You have to have an existing website elsewhere and redirect your domain to that site.
And with that huge ugly namezero frame, i don't know why anyone would use the service. Sure, you get a free domain name but only half the screen to see your site.
The namezero help section goes on about "channels" a lot. Your "home channel" is the page you see at the www.yourname.com (http://www.yourname.com) address. By default, your "Home channel" is set to display your "My Namezero portal template". But, you can set the "Home channel" to any Web page you choose. You do this by pressing the "control panel" button on the "viewbar frame" at www.isaacofedele.com. (http://www.isaacofedele.com.) There you can press "add" or "edit" to cusomise your "channels". Instructions can be found at http://www.namezero.com/controlpanel.htm
That's the sum total of what i have figured out!

Good work jalouda! Great research.
The problem that I have had with this thing is that not only does it have that ulgy bar on the page, but it will not let you use the homepage of your choice, (although they say that you can).
Basicly, this seems like a big excuse to wast good domains.
