Hi

I recently bought some web space from a hosting company.

I built my site putting in all relevant descriptions and keywords in the meta tags.

After I published I noticed that my page is within a frameset of my hosting company's page.

If I view my page source from the browser dropdown menus, it shows a redirect to my page within their frameset. If right click and view the page source I can see my correct HTML.

Question is, will the search engines still pick up on my meta tags and also my <h1>, <h2> tags etc ??

Also their page (which contains mine) has no doctype, is not XHTML and does not validate. Will any of these facts be detremental to my search engine ranking ??

Hi,

I have this problem because I bought some domain names and just direct them, this causes Google to just for get about the site, well it puts it on a low priorty because of the redirect. Also it defently needs a doctype for it to be read at all (I assume) because there is a validation it has to pass, W3C, something about disabilitys and it needs a doctype.

What I am doing is putting the domain actuallt on the server so it acts as the true domain, I dont know if this is possible in your situatio, but I would contact your hosting company.

I have run a test here using a free Validation tool, here is your results, you can optimixe your site from here:

(Notice when it talks about frame)

Please dont quote me on 'google not ranking the site' but I have learned that it dosent like set frames, its old technology.

Kind Regards,
