In the process of building a simple site for a friend and would be interested in your thoughts on the look of the site. (I've yet to upload it!)

Looks decent, but I'd like to see the source, if possible. In general blue on white sucks, but it looks good here. ;)

My name is Pam Cairns, I'm 43 years old, I live in Heaviley and have a dog walking business in the Stockport area. I have over 25 years of experience

in working, handling and owning dogs. I currently have two dogs of my own & am a keen walker. I am available to walk your dogs on a regular or

occasional basis depending upon your requirements. Your dogs will have a 40 minute walk and the location will be dependant on the area that you live.

I am an ex-kennel maid and an experienced dog handler; exemplary references and police check are available on request. Insurance is included and

arrangements will be made to visit you and your dog/s in your home before walks begin.</font>

Looks picture looks quite good, the only thing I'd say is try and fill up you quick contact box with more (eg. phone number) because it looks a bit empty.

I don't know about the blue, Craig. It's a distraction, really. I find it rather hard to read the text with that colour surrounding it. Maybe a green, or a grass background, if you can find one? Something that goes better with the idea of taking the dog for a walk.

Hey

I really like the colour scheme, the whole site seems to fit together really nicely. Gives off a good image. But on the front page that quick contact thing where it opens an email generator i dont like. I reckon you would be far better off with a small contact us form as it looks far better and would remove the open space that is inside the quick contact box. Or even some sort of graphic which is a link to the contact page.

Nice job Craig,

I must say when I looked at the picture, I wasn't too sure about the layout, but having seen the site working its very clean and tidy and works quite well.

A quick search on google doesn't bring up too many dog walking services in Stockport, so there isn't really anything to compare to in that field (which is what I usually use as a measure).

I agree with dimeric, you shouldn't use a mailto, especially when you have the nice contact form on the other page. Why not just link it through. Besides, you're gonna get bots getting hold of your e-mail address that way as well.

The hover is annoying, but the site is ok. Try not to use tables in the future.

I think what peg is getting at, is that the blue is a light colour, and so is the text. The last thing you want is your text blending in. Try changing your text colour to #000000 and see where we get.
