Media Hosting....

Does anyone know of a free or cheap costing media host? I want to add audio & video to my website but I know that with people downloading the media, it will send my bandwidth sky high. So I want to save my bandwidth and possibly host my media somewhere else for free or a low cost. Does anyone have any idea how I can get a list of sites that can provide this service for me?

Im not sure about those others but globat.com gives you a bunch of space, like 10gigs to start for super cheap. I have 2 sites on there and use tons of audio/video and havent even made a dent in the space.

Anyway ya Id agree, its all about support sometimes, I get pretty good response with globat, but I checked out the others posted and Id go with those too.

I have another host based out of the town I live in and they were supposed to setup email accounts like 6 months ago for our company and they finally got to it, they also had some box they were supposed to set us up with live streaming video for the TV show I work on but they kinda blew us off on that, I can keep calling them everyday to see if they're with it, they owe us some $15,000 in trade so I should be on their back but I found globat and we really needed the space anyways.

But Id probably suggest against local web hosts, cause in the end youll have more problems, not to knock the small guys though, just their support.

No, I didn't design it. I just appeared here one day about 4 years ago and I haven't shut up since. ;)

I used to host with a small local company, but getting a hold of them and getting explanations/advice in words that made sense to me was hard. I've since switched to a smaller hosting company, but the support there is phenomenal. I had problems getting my blog set up (mostly because I didn't know how to add an image to the thing in PHP) and Will, the owner of Avian Hosting, not only set up the blog for me, but explained how I was to make the change, if I needed to in the future.
