Although we do try to use only "energystar" rated appliances, and we wear lots of sweaters so we can keep the heat turned down low in the winter, we still use a lot of gasoline for the car (Chevy Tahoe) as we have to haul farm equipment, move around our honeybee hives, etc.

In a lack of time to fill in all the fields of the "footprint" survey... my answer is simply, "I am sure my footprint is about THIS BIG:

Your Total Carbon Footprint : 5,898 kg of carbon dioxide

We're not doing too badly on it, but we could do better, I'm sure. Most of our transport is by public bus, so that's a help, and the kids take the bus to school. I didn't factor that in because I'm not sure how that works. My power bill is going down, that much I know. *e2eg* I can live with that.

Hey Peg. Your sig doesen't work?

The server's down for a bit. They've been working on it all day, but it might take a bit longer for my site to come on-line. I think they have to change the addresses for the site, and that may not be done until Monday or Tuesday. <shrug> First time this year, so I can't complain.

*lol* But go figure, the image still seems to work, unless it's just cached in my computer.

EDIT: It seems to work just fine now. Guess I was wrong. I know it was down for a bit this afternoon because I tried earlier. Way to go, Will!!! Fastest server change I've ever seen.

Sweet! Not normal it goes that fast?

I just installed Ubuntu so it dual-boots with Windows XP. So I can use Ubuntu for everyday use, and XP for Counter-Strike :D

It's a long weekend up here and I wasn't really expecting anything to be fixed and finished until Monday, when the Main Office opened up. Couple of emails and a phone call got everything sorted out, or something like that. ;) It's fixed. That's all that matters to me.

That makes sence. It works, you're in buisness, so to speak. :D

What time is it in your country? It's 01.08 AM here.. Gotta get up early, so should, only should, be logging off..

Edit: I cannot express how much pressure I in my mind put on the word should.

Hmm,, dunno really. Not me anyway. Perhaps a bond movie or two..

Though there are certain things I love from Britain, and hate you cannot get it in Denmark

Proper tea (like PG tips)
Gravy
Orbit chewing gum
Custard
Loads of other stuff, but would get too booooriiiing.. ;)

Anyways. I am stuck in Denmark, and theres nothing I can do about it..
Denmark isen't that bad, really. It's just that nothing happens.. The most interesting in my town is probably the sunday church meeting.. Which I never go to, so why I mentioned it I do not know..

Could do a bit better if my energy were green sourced. Dooable but needs a little research. Quite pleased with that, will do better though.

As for tea, since when was PG real tea? My gran wouldn't like to hear that.

Naah, it's not the best, but it is what we can get imported. Compared to what you get in Denmark PG is religion

With the few results people have posted, we are headed towards Global Warming for sure. :)

Go take a walk, ride your bike, and skate miles to get to your destination! It gets rid of obseity too!

*Note: The forums needs a spell check; I'm too lazy to constantly check the spelling of every single unsure word. Just an idea. =D

*lol* Not to worry, Pinkie. Most of us are fluent in the typonese and Idunnospelling languages. It's not something we're worried about.

And you're right. I should use the bike a lot more.

If I switched to a green energy supllier then I would be inside the magic number.

This crude test doesn't take other things into consideration though. The packaging in products amongst them.

We can all do better.

it also doesn't factor for second or third cars...
