What is a pop3 email? A place says i need it, is that hotmail?

Dear Sir,

POP3 is a server issue that I will not explian in detail at this time. However, pop3 can be an account such as hotmail, (or try 123webmaster's very own e-mail sevice), then you can configure a e-mail client such as Outlook to retrive your mail for you.

Actually Isaac, I believe that you may be mistaken. The majority of web based email services do not allow you to use a mail client to check your mail. They are trying to get as many banner impressions as possible. It would provide no benefit to them if you never had to go to the site and log in. Several of them though, like hotmail, and 123webmaster mail do ALLOW you to check your pop mail from their interface, if you have an account elsewhere.

Well Jason,

I don't think I was wrong, just uninformed. The pop3 e-mail services that I have used have always allowed you to use an outside program to check your e-mail. Both Hotmail and Yahoo Mail do this, and I check my 123webmaster account from Outlook. http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/biggrin.gif
