Quick but important linux question

I recently download linux mandrake 10.1, the install went all well and good, although i do have a problem. My pc is partitioned to both windows and linux, so im using windows now to ask this question, i have a toshiba pcx2500 cable modem, and i cant find any driver at all for it for linux, i even put in the modem's cd and that wont even run in liunux, is there anyway to run my linux connection through my winodws connection, or does anyone know fo a driver for it? Thanks.

I've never run into this issue myself -- Linux didn't care what model my modem was(though..I'm on DSL) it only cared that I configured it properly. Right now I'm using a router on my desk -- and Linux detects that connection automatically as well.

Did you try searching(eg: google) for anyone with a similar issue?
