Webmaster / Tax Collector
Status: Non-Exempt
Minimum Starting Pay: $36,254.40 or higher (dependent on experience)
MAJOR FUNCTION
This position is responsible for the internal and external web-based communications and applications of the office, as well as a staff resource for technical and procedural communications.
DUTIES
Has overall responsibility and accountability for the design, development, release, and maintenance of internal (intranet) and external (Internet, WWW) Web systems and services.
Works closely with internal customers and colleagues to identify and maximize opportunities to utilize Web-based technologies to improve business processes and support critical business strategies, provide information access, promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable the workforce to use selected new technologies.
Position also requires extensive interface with content owners/contributors and other personnel throughout the organization to ensure that design encompasses strategic business image and objectives, from design and content perspective.
Provide the bridge between Web technology and its use by internal customers via an Online Content Management System.
Provides extensive use of graphic design capabilities to develop Web pages and sites that are visually appealing and interesting.
Provides recommendations for server operating systems, hardware requirements, and encryption standards for communications to and from secure servers.
Contributes to the management and maintenance of the web hosting network.
Serves as knowledge base for all employees
Participates as a member of the IT team and in office training programs
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced knowledge of programming languages
Database Design & Management experience: MySQL, MSSQL, etc.
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of professional experience in business or government. Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
Must have 2+ years of Web design and development experience including a background in state-of-the-art web page programs/applications.
Must possess excellent organizational, communications and multi-tasking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with an eye for detail and quality.
