Hello,

I'm hosting a pop3 service on Windows Server 2003 Web Edition. I've got clients who connect to it through Outlook and Outlook Express. These programs downloads emails from the server, and then the server erases them. A few of my clients would like to look at their emails from the office and at home, and therefore I need to setup the server NOT to erase emails once they've been downloaded once. They need to still be there when my clients try to connect from home. There must be a way to preserve emails on the server.

Each person may setup their Outlook or Outlook express at home (or where ever they want to check their messages) and set it up so the e-mails are left on the server...

When their POP3 account is created in Outlook or Outlook express, they can go back in it and check the little box to leave the message on server.

Ciao!!!

there is no server configuration for this - it has to be done in the email client, as one-leg says.

the setting is in the account settings, under "more settings..." and then click on the "advanced tab", in the case of Outlook.

I can't remember exactly where this same setting is in Express, but it will be a similar place.
