View Full Version : Midi music in background...
Hi All,
Is it possible to put more then one midi track as a background?
I have been trying, but it just loops back to the first track, please help.
I'll thank you all now for your help, thank you, thank you, thank you, as someone out on the WWW always helps.
Dean.

i think the only way to do this is having on clicks... like a player (image) with active areas as buttons which the viewer can browse the tracks.
hope it helps!

hi well ive been trying to do this as well - and have managed to do it to a point however it means i have to link to someone elses cgi-bin and then back to my site and the midi only changes when the page is refreshed
http://www.expert-html.com/docs/random.html gives you all the info on how to do it that way. what i would like to know is how to do this
a)without having to acess anyone elses website and
b)without having to manually refresh the page to get more music.
otherwise just do google searches for java script midi jukeboxes - these do everything i want except be hidden from view and automatically be random
if anyone can tell me where i can get (or give me) a script that will play midi files at random, automatically knows when the song is finished & picks new song, and stays hidden in a frame please tell me - i would be very grateful

as a little update on my previous post, i have now managed to do most of what i wanted.
i went here http://www.a1javascripts.com/midi_related/randommidiauto/randommidiauto.html for a hidden random midi player which i have put into the frame on my site. i have added an on off button (an image saying off which links the frame to a blank page and vice versa) and to get the midi to change i have added a meta refresh to the length of the longest song.
however if there is a way of adding individual page refreshes into the script could someone tell me

if you have a hidden frame, just use a meta refresh to load a new html page every few thousand seconds.... each page has a new midi.
