Okay, I've just been wondering if the amount of traffic that I'm currently receiving is roughly equilivant to the quality of my website. I'm curious of this because I personally think it should be a lot higher. We have over 450 movie reviews, and keep up to date with current movies.
the website is http://www.movie-vault.com, and I'm currently receiving around 5,000 page views a month. (If you want detailed statistics you can go to http://www.movie-vault.com/wwwstat - I don't use this, I use FastClick's reports though).
Thanks for any input you can give me.
5000 pageviews is nothing, not to offend you or anything ;). I think your problem is you have no link exchanges set up. I have many and receive about 200,000 pageviews a month (which I still don't think is much). Try exchanging links with sites related to yours, this will boost your traffic up a lot.
Good Luck,
Paul

200,000 seems OK to me, if you have one banner at $5 per 1000 views that's $1000 a month.

I was never saying 5,000 is a lot. I currently make $2.10 a month from my banner ads.

To tell you the truth I don't think search engines work well. Try my advice with the link exchanges, these get you a lot of traffic (trust me :)). And cloud to get $5 CPM these days is hell, I'm currently getting about 60-70 cents CPM which I am very happy with. I will soon be looking to let people advertise on my site for about $2-3 CPM.
Good Luck,
Paul

I get about 7k per day. My site www.albinotreefrog.net is a freebie site and has some things in the "webmaster" section you should check out.
