flash to quicktime

I decided to use flash to make an animation whihc I exported as Quicktime and then opened in Premier to add to a video.

The process seemed simple but in fact the quicktime did nto play some of the flash animation, some things just showed up as dark red shapes against the black background.

none of the books or sites about flash I have seen discuss this flash-to-quicktime aspect. Does anyone know about this? I would like to use flash to make my video animations as it's very quick and easy.

I have found the documentation very sparse on this subject as well. Just curious, last years estimates put flash users over 90%... so why would you convert into a slower loading (and less used) format?

It's not for the web; want to add the Flash animation as a Quicktime movie to a video I am editing in Premiere. It's a mixture of live and animation.
