Hello there everybody,

I am new to this forum, but I am not new to the Big Resources network, which I think is one of the most informative networks online. I have watched a few redesigns over the last 12 months, and I think that Big Resources is always getting bigger and better, and stronger than ever.

I am still kind'a new to web design, (I guess). Considering that 12 months ago I hadn't even heard of HTML, let alone all the other related concepts of creating sites.

I began learning with notepad, and worked my way through the code via viewing source. The reson for this, is that I thought that's how all pages were made *HaHa*

Thankfully, I have come to realise that I LOVE building websites, and I am absolutely possessed with them! I started using proper text editors about 4 months ago, and I have tried most of them, but my 150mhz wont run many of them very well, so now I code all my pages in 1stPage, which in my opinion is the best completely free editor around.

Anyways, in the short time I have been building sites, I have only built two. The first one I am not game to mention, because it is embarrassing, but I have come to learn how to apply Perl scripts - I know all about CHMODing and wheather to upload in binary, or ascii, I know about CGI, and Server Side Includes (SSI), I can builds tables and frames right off the top of my head, no problem! I have read every single search engine and directory page there is, and have learned all about meta tags, and how to make framed sites for search engines and non frame browsers. I can write pages that are IE friendly as well as NS, tables frames and all. To tell you the truth, I am DAMN proud of what I have learned, and I am loving it!

I suppose I could type forever, because I have read just about every forum, and affiliate FAQ sheet on the net *haha*, but i guess I wont bore you. The morol of the story, is that I have become a major geek since I first viewed source 12 months ago, scratched my head, and said hmmm..."what's all that for"? *HaHa*

I am 25, (male obviously). I live in Melbourne Australia, and I am currently building the 'soon to be' most friendly and informative webmaster community EVER! It is fully NS compatible, and I am enjoying building it very much.

For a 'real' job, I am a painter and decorator. I work for myself, but i haven't been going to work much lately, because I am wrapped up with making my site. I hope that soon, I will be able to hang up my paint brushes and spend 8 hours at ez0ne.com each day. That is my dream.
