I'm looking for a free host for a bulletin board I want to make for my site. It needs Perl 5 (or higher) installed, CGI.pm v2.4+ module installed on the server, At least 1 mb of diskspace on your webspace account; over 3mb recommended and Sendmail (for UNIX) or SMTP (for NT or UNIX); optional, but recommended. If anyone knows of any host like this, please let me know as soon as possible.

CHMOD this, CHMOD that, 755 for all of this.

755 will work for anything that's .pl or .cgi Lots of other things such as databases will need to be 777 and 666.
Good Luck,
Paul

Yes I know that, I use WS_FTP LE which makes it easy.

Does that program set the permissions automatically? I use CuteFTP and it's a pain seting the permissions for every little thing.
Thanks,
Paul

Mark,
Do you use Netfirms just for the board, or for a whole site. I just cehcked it out, and it seems like a decent deal. If you use it for a whole site, what do you think of it?

I JUST used it for my ikonboard forum(which I think I am going to unistall for my other CGI scripts). I was pleased with the speed and the service :)
