View Full Version : new stuff?
has anyone ever heard of dhtml, vrml, or css? I hear about these all the time, but I feel like I'm left inthe dark about something.
Hi Ron,
Where have you been? hehe, just kidding. All three you mentioned are not really that new, just becoming more popular with the need to build more efficient and attractive websites and make more use of some of the processor speed of computers now available I guess. (in the case of vrml anyway). A book could and probably has been writtin on each one you mentioned and there is lots of information around the net that is worth while you reading to gain knowledge on these things.
1)dhtml. (dynamic hyper text markup language).
You can find links to sites that have tutorials and examples that you can download here. http://www.123webmaster.com/Scripts/Collections/
2)vrml. (virtual reality modeling language).
This reguires a browser plug-in to view things made in vrml, it is very neat, but very hard on processors under 233-266 Mhz.
You can find some tutorials and examples here. http://www.refraction.com/vrml/ http://www.blueneptune.com/~xmwang/MyVrml/index.html http://www.blueneptune.com/~xmwang/MyVrml/index.html
to name a few.
3)css.(cascading style sheets).
You will also find info and examples about these at javascript and dhtml resource sites, but one worthy place to check out is here. http://www.zdnet.com/devhead/
were you will find info on most web development technology.
happy reading http://talkboard.123webmaster.com/ubbhtml/smile.gif, and don't forget to leave your url once you have your site littered with dhtml and css scripts and 3d models everywhere. Good luck.
Ian
