iframe substituted by object, no IE?

Hi,

I am installing Amazon for the first time and they use iframe. Well I (and the validator) don't like that, so I altered it to use OBJECT, put in the correct attributes etc., It works, on Mozilla. On IE it just has a box, like an empty iframe - could this maybe due to my type attribute I have set to text/html? Has anyone had experience with amazon and xhtml1.1? Hope someone can shed like on this! THanks!

like you, I did some experimentation with iframe replacement.
The object tag worked perfectly in Mozilla etc. but I.E.......:supereek:

Thank you! I found that very useful :) I decided to remove the object from IE entirely, to avoid any problems.
