I registered my new domain through Network Solutions. They asked me for my hostname,is that my computer name(hosting site on my home puter)? So,is it to read [computer name].[newly registered domain name].com?I can't get that to work.Or is it to read www.[newly registered domain name].com? thanks for any help.

The host name is generally the name of an internet website hosting service, like http://www.valueweb.com (that is not a recommendation to use them)

The host could be your computer if it is setup as a web server, which I doubt since you do not seem to know what host means.

You need to search around and find a hosting service that fits your needs and budget. Read through some of the threads in this forum and maybe you will find one. Once you register a domain name you will most likely start to recieve offers from website hosting companies in your mail and email.
