I started a free host (http://crossfirecom.cjb.net) that offers free hosting with 20 megs of space, tracking, message boards, FTP, free and quick help, free e-mail, free subdomains, browser upload and file manager and much more.

Please give it a try and tell me what you think!

Ah...I see that this was in Domains&Web Hosting.
That forum was for Discussions on domain names, or new domain extensions, web hosting providers of the free and paid genre I don't see how this post fits there.

Yes, sorry but it is against forum policy to advertise your own sites and services on this board.

If you want to post an advertisement for your own service. Put it in your Signatur section.

But dont make a topic of it plz

Oh and for info....if you want make your hosting service stand out. Better include 50MB and a banner that you let the subscriber choose where it goes. I hate the ones that tag your HTML with either frames or DIV tags to put the banner in.

Also, allow the subscriber to put there own CGI, ASP, JSP, etc into the websites. I have been rejected left and right from Page Hosters saying "We cannot let you do that due to the fact that it will interfere with our parsing scripts".

I say "F*** You buddy, I want FREEDOM, it is a constitutional right". dont actually tell them but everytime they say it, this saying comes to mind everytime.

Scripting should be coming soon. You can change your ad type, but my goal is to have it adless once I have enough money.

ATTENTION!!!!!
The ADDRESSES below are not REAL URLS. The board engine automatically added the URL tags to them.

you have it adless...ill subscribe

Have yet to meet a free hosting service that didnt have some kind of ad board implemented into the site. PROVE ME WRONG.

Also, are the sites going to be domain independent or dependent. By this i want to know if for some reason i wanted to create a site, say www.bishop.net, would i be able to? Or would i have to suffice with www.joesmoesservice.bishop.net or www.joesmoesservice.com/~bishop

If you say it is going to be something different plz by all means make it different.

But since most free-hosting services are cookie cutters, ill believe it when i see it.
