Server Load for streaming video and/or audio

Does anyone have any specs on the minumum server requirements for streaming video and/or audio from a webserver?

I think that you could probably stream off of anything - if the files will fit. You could try asking http://www.realnetworks.com or http://www.windowsmedia.com or see if one of them have a pertaining page.
