My website http://www.matthewdonovan.co.uk used to listed on the google search engine.

It now doesn't seem to be there anymore. Does anyone know why this might be?

Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
It is possible that when google was spidering the net that your host/server/site may have been experiencing problems that prevented your site being spidered. You can add your site again manually here http://www.google.com/addurl.html , good luck.

Yeah, i think you might be right, Ian.

My host/server does seem a bit temperamental sometimes. I suppose that's what you get for free.

Thanks for your help

Matt

From google.com
Dead links will 'fade out' of our index on our next crawl when we update our entire index.

This quote was from http://www.google.com/addurl.html, just before the URL textbox.

If it was dropped from Google, there is the slight chance it could be dropped by other DMOZ engines.

http://www.dmoz.org is the Open Directory Project. When you submit a URL to a category, it is not added automatically. Someone who is the editor of that particular category visits your site and manually puts your site the directory.

Many search engine use the dmoz directory to power their search engines.
