Hi! Do visit my new site at www.xeonies.com and tell me what you think about it.

I'm dead-set serious about this new business and I'm taking a no-nonsense approach and I make sure I'm gonna succeed this time.

So, do give me harsh feedback on the shopping system, the site design, what you think can be better, and even SEO-related stuff. Anything.

Thanks,
Xeon.

Hi there. I just browsed your site.

First. If the @Xeonies button isn't going to do anything maybe it shouldn't light up? I expected it to take me somewhere (i.e. an about page). I also felt the disclaimer, contact etc. under the fancy buttons was out of place and was going to suggest they go in a footer at the page bottom or something, but then realized they were headings under the @Xeonies button. I think if they are going too be there they should match the theme in someway, just my opinion. I think the @Xeonies button should take you to the about page.

Your tell a friend form takes you away from the main site and leaves you no way to return to the main site without clicking back or going to the history. Also when I received the email it didn't tell me anything. I didn't type in a comment, just test. It just said a note for you in the subject line. It should tell me who it is from, where it came from and where to go I expect that from a form like that so all I have to say is: Check this out. In the comments and all the other info is included.

The rest of the layout if fairly good on the eyes. I navigate to places pretty well and could get to places easily (with exception of the tell a friend form). Sometimes I felt like the slanted taped up sign impinged on the main context area and distracted from the main context of the page with the way it dips into that area, but this is mild I'm sure.

I browsed through parts of the galleries, but didn't actually try to test out any of the shopping system. The layout seemed compariable to many systems I have used and should work nicely from my stand point.

Good luck,
Stuart

Xeon,

I happen to agree on several parts with studogvetmed in that the general layout is nice, it is definitely easy on the eyes, and you chose a nice color scheme.

The "@Xeonies" is the section in which I feel needs the most work. With it lighting up like that, I as well thought it should have taken me somewhere. Then the list of the four options below it should definitely be moved. Either to the bottom somewhere like studogvetmed suggested, or maybe you could link a page from the "@Xeonies" button, in which the Contact Us, Tell a Friend, About Us, and Privacy & Disclaimer links can reside.

Furthermore, on your buttons on the homepage, I am not sure if you were doing this on purpose when you made them, but when your cursor goes over it, it changes color, but the picture associated with that button also shifts slightly downward. If that was your intention, great! But if you wanted it to just change color, I would advise altering this. Also, on your "Make a Gift" and "Designs Gallery" buttons, rather than them shift downward, they are just inverted, but these are the only two that do that. I would suggest keeping them all same as to add to the professional demeanor. With that said, the "@Xeonies" button behaves quite differently from the rest of them as well.

Sincerely,

Trick Silo

Thanks a lot, pal! :)

Yes, that was my intention! U know, like those cool-looking Windows programs, whereby when you hover your mouse over a button, the button becomes animated etc. Simple art and animation, I guess. :D

Also, on your "Make a Gift" and "Designs Gallery" buttons, rather than them shift downward, they are just inverted, but these are the only two that do that. I would suggest keeping them all same as to add to the professional demeanor.
Yes, it depends, I guess. For me, I feel that several varieties of animations for several different buttons looks more unique.

The first 2 buttons get "push-down", the next 2 gets inverted and the last one "@ Xeonies" glows a bit. :)

I've kept all your notes in mind and will be changing the site for the better by next week.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Any SEO experts here care to give me some tips too? I know that my SEO stuff on my site isn't that good at all!

Thanks! :)

The first thought that came to my head when I reviewing your site was.. "cute". Now the question is: Is this the type of respond you want on your site? Do you want your site to be "cute", or did you have other intentions? Overall I like it, theres nothing really to pull a negative comment on, it's a matter of choice-- that's all. Truthfully I did not like how the links turned red when your mouse 'touched' it. Personally I don't like it when it's a big contrast, so that was kind of too much for me. Well, keep it up.

Well, since the site is suppose to be a gift site, I would say yes. :D
After all, gifts are suppose to be kinda cute and if the site looks kinda techno or punk, then the whole concept may not be that good.

Overall I like it, theres nothing really to pull a negative comment on, it's a matter of choice-- that's all.
Wow, thanks!

Now, finally someone highlighted this! Indeed, orange to dark red is too large a contrast. Maybe orange to darker orange would be nicer. Or maybe orange to warm brown.

Overall, thanks a lot for your comments, Mariah! I'll put your feedback and make changes to my site as well.
Anyone care to share?

Thanks and have a nice day!

Excellent job! Smooth. Makes sense to get around. Looks easy to order. Looks credible and trustworthy. Portrays a sense of fun. I think some of the giant retailers out there could use a simpler design like this. Overall a well designed , highly functional site. Best of luck in your endeavours.

Thanks a lot for the feedback, guys!
Thank you so much! :)

That really helps to bolster my confidence. Now, I guess I gotta go out there and advertise.

See ye' all!
