no this is NOT SPAM! the question that has been lingering on the minds of several people in the group has been are sites with *.pdf files ADA compliant? the answer is NO! there is now a converter that makes .pdf's into .html's so everyone can remain 5.08 compliant. with that said, i'm now wanting to know if anyone wants to tell me if there is an audio format that is compliant? and... has anyone else battled their site to be "ADA Compliant"?

ADA is American Disability Association, not the American Dental Assocation!

actually I do have a question about the pdf to HTML converter. The way we do it changes it from pdf to word documents. What converter were you were speaking of?

i have found and researched the documentation on pdf files and found good and bad news...

currently most of the *.pdf files posted on the external web are scanned images of typed documents. The current pdf readers can not read text of images, but text of pdf's.

HERE IS THE FUNNY PART!

currently ALL documentation completeled from our buisness place is to be done in .html , and in the time it takes for a person to type the .pdf files, shouldnt they be doing .html files? The text from a word doc. to a pdf can be as easily transfered to a .html, so why even post pdf's?

just shaking his head while the bosses try to figure it out
