I am currently in the process of buying perl-scripting.co.uk, does anyone think this domain is good/bad/whatever?

If your site is about perl scripting, then yes, it is a good idea.

co.uk domains are never worth as much as .com, just make sure that you don't overpay on it. If I may ask, what are you paying?

i am going to pay $35 for it.....i think thats real cheap and i guess i'm not losing anything on it as its not much.....the only problem is that i don't know much about perl but i am planning on getting people interested and good in perl to post/upload files and reviews etc..

I think that the perl market is totally saturated. There is loads of it. It is going to take a lot to beat the perl on 123webmaster. Perhaps perl script installation should be a focus because it is easy to learn. Why not use it to publish hacks to things like ikonboard(.com). There is a half a community doing that.
