Is "Total Saturation" a good source for a safe email list and does it give results?
Also, what about the following:
Prolist
Postmaster Online
Spamfreebulkemail.com
themailblaster.com
Has anyone tried any of these and did they give results.
I know we should try to build our own lists but I need one right away.
Thanks
Sharon

Sharon,
I can't help but to think that these are the very same services that flood my email accounts with unwanted messages everyday. I would hope that you have a product that you could solicit, instead of 'spam.'
Also, what is a 'safe' email list? Personally, I wouldn't pay for these. Unsolicited email is still unsolicited email. Call me old fashioned, but I like to 'put my name' on the list before getting email. When I open the mail, and see 25 similar email addresses.... I just delete. There has got to be a better way to market online products.
What are your products? And Please post your answers here, I am not asking for the info by email. Really.

Thanks Dr. Web for replying to my post.
One of the names mentioned in my first post was recommended by an ezine publisher with a good reputation if I remember correctly. That's why I thought a few of them might be okay.
Anyway, I guess I'll just skip the whole idea, although, I don't see what the big fuss is about. I don't send spam email but I get plenty of it and have never complained. Some of it I even read. Oh well......

I don't think Sharon was actually talking about spamming. If I am not mistaken, the services that she was listing rent opt-in lists from interests that people have signed up for from various websites? However people do often forget that they signed up for lists like these, and may consider it spam just the same.

In case you missed this in the other spam thread I'm re-posting it here.
The places that sell or "rent" opt-in list are just another scam.
Just because someone opted into their list don't mean that they have opted in to your program.
I myself warn folks who try sending me spam this way once, and the next time they e-mail me their e-mail gets forwarded to the Fedral Trade Comissions Spam Task force at uce@ftc.gov . This puts you on an offenders list, and anyy other complaints (even from the same batch) gets you prosicuted.
On a 3rd offence I nominate them to the MAPS real time black hole list.
This blockes both their e-mail address and IP addy of their website from connecting with the subscribers of the RTB list, which is most ISPs.
If you want to know the best way to run a list without getting in legal trouble or getting your website blocked visit http://www.mailabuse.org/manage.html and follow these guidelines.

Yes, yes and thank you for that e-mail addy for the ftc. I use spamcop now, but am adding them to my address list as well.
This has turned into such a vile issue regarding e-mail that seems to me pretty soon something is going to have to be done and yes, those lists are NOT targeted leads. I get so darned many e-mails saying "you are on our opt-in list", or "you requested information" or some such nonsense and they're not only sites I never heard of, but they're most often the type I would never be interested in. It's the SPAM SCAM!!! Arg - I used to be like Sharon, where I'd read some of the "unknowns", but after a time, when you're getting more SPAM than you are actual e-mail, you start to get annoyed and then down right angry. And another thing I HATE HATE HATE is these HTML spams where a pop up intrudes on your screen or worse - lately I'm getting these darned ones' from China that keep prompting me to do a download! OH those drive me nuts. You should see my blocked senders list - it goes on forever, altough yes, I know that's a bit in vain but heck, I have to try. Lately I'm getting a ton from eudora e-mail addresses. And yahoo - sheeze!
Sorry..got on a rant there didn't I.
Sharon - don't spam - even unknowingly. It's not ethical and will only give you a bad rep. that's just my 2 cents...

I have used total saturation in the past. I personally think they are a fake.
I have over 130,000 unique e-mails, not spam. If you are interested in purchasing them off me, let me know.
