Advanced Medical Assistant of America.
URL: http://www.certmedassistant.com
My web site is dedicated solely to student and professional medical assistants, regardless of their professional affiliation. However, over time it has also become a favorite of many others in a related medical and health care delivery field. These are professionals who are dedicated to increase their professional and personal skills!
I am offering networking resources and pertinent information, also links and free resources for the student and professional medical assistant, review presentations, medical terminology and body system quizzes, peer-reviewed tips, independent forum and opportunities to gain valuable continuing education credits.
I would like to find a way to turn this web site into a revenue creating site. Over the past few months, I have earned $250 through "membership." But this is going really very slow! I have searched the Internet for web sites and emailed their webmasters when I thought they might be interested in placing an ad onto my site (ie. sites that sell nursing uniforms, medical equipment, books, resume services, job seekers/finders etc) I thought I was offering VERY REASONABLY PRICED banner advertisement opportunities but nobody is interested (http://www.certmedassistant.com/104bannerads.htm)
On the other hand, I am not interested in promoting affiliated programs. I feel that advertisement should never be free, and wether someone clicks on a banner or not, advertisement is a service that deserves to be rewarded!!! I am not willing to decrease the quality of my web site with numberous flashing buttons, taking a gamble on click throughs and accepting pennies, when it cost me real money and time to maintain a quality web site.
My husband, tired of my "whining" suggests selling the entire web site, but I am not ready to depart with my creation (created Dec. 2000.) Should I however, decide to do so?
And how would I best go about that?
