Hello everyone! I am new, as you can probably tell, and if you can't tell you need to seek help right away. :D
Anyway, my name is Abaddon. I am a 14 year old male from the Eastern US and I love making video games, music, and websites. I also like watching and listening to them as well, of course. :P
Anyway, I got tired of asking HTML/Javascript questions on all my other boards and thought this looked like a nice place so I decided to come here.
Yay for me! :rocker:

hi, welcome to the forums.

I assume you're a David Gemmell fan with that name?

happy postings,

David Gemmell is an author, and Abaddon is a character in one of his books...

Thinking about it, though, I think I have heard the name Abaddon somewhere else also.

The Bible. I got it from Revelations chapter 9:
Here it is (http://bible.gospelcom.net/bible?passage=REV+9&language=english&version=NIV)
An excerpt:
7The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8Their hair was like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. 9They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10They had tails and stings like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon.[1]

Pretty neat, eh? :rocker:

In Gemmell's book Abaddon was the head Abbot of an order of warrior-monks...

Sounds neat. I am sure the book must have some nice Biblical Parallels and symbolism to it. I will have to check it out. :)

i don't think so - but it is still worth the read. i think the one you want is "Legend".
