They offer 500MB storage
50 free POP mail accounts
1000 mail redirects
And a nice 10 Gigs transfer allowance.
They also throw in lots of free cgi scripts as well. They support most types of server side scripting.

The first month only costs $1 (no signup fee) but after that it's $49.95 per month. It's not the world's cheapest webhost but I believe it's one of the best.

I've been with them since April, and I've and no problems. (Yet.)

The price sounds reasonable for what you get, at the very worst it is "the going rate" for a good service. Reliability is definitely worth the price. Nothing sets up a red flag looking at then either. It could be that you found a quality host Dave ;)

DiscoveryHost are part of Mark Joyner's Aeosop Corporation, and it's hard not to buy from the Aeosop Corporation!
Their so-called 'physcological marketing' can be very persuasive!

Looks like a good host. But looks like they have only the one service plan. Their setup fee for $1 is a temporary special, after the special is over its a hefty $100 charge, ouch!

This host http://www.valueweb.net/about_vw/ also has good features and service 300MB/30GB bandwidth allowance for $49.95 (no media streams included at this price) http://www.valueweb.net/products/commerce_hosting.html and many more service plans to choose from. The $19.95 plan is good for starter sites, more than most will ever need. (The $14.95 service plan is a real turkey.)
