Can anyone help me please?
I have down loaded RealProducer Basic and used it (its very good), but now having investigated aol ftp space I find that they can only upload one file at a time, not multi-files.
On real.com they say it needs to be streamed from another ftp place so you can click on your page and it will automatically go and collect your video and audio.
I cannot or do not understand what or where to look to do this so I can have my video on my homepage.
I'll give my thanks now. Thank you.

I use tripod.com for space. What I do is this:

1. I make the sound/video file.

2. I use the "create web page" feature under tools to make the correct files.

3. I click "Publish web page" under tools and let that upload the files correctly.

I used to just use the ftp, but it wouldn't work correctly (wouldn't stream).

Also, you have to use the "create web page" feature or else it won't make the 1kb .ram files that tell the computer to stream the .rm file. If you don't use it, every user will have to download the entire file before being able to play it.

Hopefully this helps

we're using www.fateback.com to host our mp3's page, the have good support for real media files (and pretty good bandwidth, too)
plus, at the moment, there don't seem to be any ads on their free service...
:)
try it for yourself if you like:

If this helps, at all, you can create .ram files with any text editor.
All you have to do is create a document with the address of the .rm file in it.

Then just 'save as' and enter "whatever.ram" (be sure to use double quotes)

This makes life easy if you have to move your files regularly... Or even if you just repost different versions of the .rm files, you don't have to play with the html file that links to it...

Also you can create play lists the same way, just by putting each address on a different line.

Good luck!
