Hi everyone....

Testing the water here..hope it's not cold..brrrr..

I am a newbie in the world of HTML but I've always wanted to start a web page of my own. It's always intrigued me , but I had no idea on how to go about it..So I surfed the net looking for a home. A place where I could ask some dumb questions perhaps , learn a thing or two along the way and hopefully make a few friends at the same time.

Hi redskull 13,

Is that your real name? You must have some pretty tuff parents!! I name my kids Andrew, Diana, Chris, etc etc, but redskull 13 never crossed my mind. Wish my folks would have named me redskull 13, I mean look at my picture!

Anyway............

So you think you have what it takes to make a webpage?? Lets see....requirements...one finger for pecking code into Notepad, at least one good eye, and a few living brain cells.

But seriously.......

Ask any dumb questions you like, and you already made a friend. Anybody with the word skull in their name can't be all bad ;)

Taking my meds and going back to my cell,
Kevin

I'm getting tired of staring at Kevin's faceless head! Seriously though, welcome to our forums, I wouldn't worry about sounding dumb here, you'll be hard pressed to top the :monkey:

Hi redskull. I just got here myself. As a veteran of a bunch of web design forums, I can tell you this one looks like the best balance in terms of being well-run, with plenty of knowledgable, helpful people but still kind of relaxed and human, or at least simian. Anyway, welcome from another newbie.

Hahahahaha.....That was a good one Kevin.I like a guy with a sense of humour.Actually my first name is Tim.

My attitude in web design is if so many people out there can make a personal webpage , why can't I ?

Already you have given me a warm reception so I am sure this will be a valuable and fun place to learn and hangout.

Zenyenta...What an interesting name..
Is that your real name ?

Again thanks from everyone here.

Actually, I got that name from a friend on a folksinger's message board. I don't think it was meant as a compliment, but I decided that it did fit.

Hey red head - You have to get an avatar as soon as possible. That way we will have at least 2 skulls skulking about.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck with you questions!

Took a quick browse over your forum here.
Very , very informative. Got alot of stuff here already to play with from previous postings and threads.Gotta weed through it all...may take awhile.
Thanks again for making me feel comfortable here.
I'm sure I'll have some questions for all you veterans here as I go along.
