What is it & how to create it? :)

Hi I saw something useful on this site:

I would like a similar thing. What is the official name for it? :)
And do any of you know a generator to create it or something?

well, it looks like your gonna need to know some javascript to control what pops up when and where, you also needd to make text boxes holding all this info, overall it looks like ti could take some work. Thats all i can tell you aobut it since im not very skilled with HTML yet but good luck

I don't think it's a textbox. I believe it's a 'drop down menu' form but with a more collums visable so you don't have the drop down thingy anymore. I dont know how to make the links update though...

look at the page source. copy whats in between <script> and <script>.



Just change the amounts and words around.

Yeah I've looked at the source code brievely but it looks a bit mumbo jumbo to me so a tuturial somewhere or explanation would be helpful. :)

I want 3 box's like on the driver page however some links need to work even when in step 1 also. (on the Nvidia page only the latest step (3) works)

yes it is a drop down.

if you want step 1 to be a link then you have to code it different. if you don't know javascript then you maybe in trouble ;)

How typical, that script only works like it should in Internet Explorer due to the bad code that IE gladly accepts... try this (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex16/chainedselects/) script.

It's sad huge sites like Nvidia don't even make their sites 100% compatable with all browsers.
