form element floats over popupmenu in IE

I have a javascript popup menu, that when visible sinks underneath my select form element in IE v6. It looks fine in Opera, Firefox and Netscape. Does anybody know why this happens and how I could remedy it?

yeah, you have to make the form element hide when the menu goes over it. the form menus are actual windowed-elements so you can't control them with the z-index attibute. I will move this to the client-side forum as you need some javascript to tackle this one.
